Try to tell our customers that small lettering may need to be altered to make it work for embroidery. It is possible to custom digitize each column of every letter and sometimes make a fancy font work but this would require advanced digitizing skills. If the lettering has very thin columns at any size it may require changes. It is very common to alter logos to make them more embroidery friendly. Explain that thread has dimension and takes up more space than ink.
When our customer insists on tiny lettering stitch out a sample with the size of lettering they are requesting. Create a sample of what you know will stitch well and look better and stitch that out. When they "see" the difference they will better understand and most will choose the altered version that stitches and looks better.
Logos are stitched on items to promote a business. If the lettering is too small it will be illegible and not be very good for marketing.
